<p>Your theme won&#8217;t look exactly like the demo version right away. Demo sites are full of text and professional photography to showcase everything the theme is capable of. You&#8217;ll need to create pages and posts, and start adding your own content in order to see the site start to take shape. Also, you can <a href="https://support.jedithemes.com/import-demo-content-widgets/">import the demo content</a> and then replace the text and images with your own – no coding required!</p>

<p>Another reason would be that Reading settings are wrong. This means your theme either does or doesn&#8217;t require a home page to be set, and you have your site set to the opposite. So go to <strong>Settings &gt; Reading</strong> and check the options under &#8220;Your homepage displays&#8221;:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="538" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-reading-homepage-settings-1024x538.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1110" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-reading-homepage-settings-1024x538.png 1024w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-reading-homepage-settings-300x158.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-reading-homepage-settings-768x404.png 768w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-reading-homepage-settings-1536x808.png 1536w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-reading-homepage-settings.png 1708w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>If your theme doesn&#8217;t require any page template for the homepage layout, make sure this option is set to &#8220;Your latest posts&#8221;. If your theme does use a homepage template, have your site set to use a static homepage.</p>

<p>Our themes should install without any errors but, on some occasions, users might encounter issues, so here are the most common problems and their solutions:</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.</h3>

<p>One of the most common problems is when users try to upload the Full zip file that includes sample data, documentation etc. and, as a result, they get the &#8220;<strong>The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.</strong>&#8221; error. When you download your theme, the file has _UNZIP at the end which means that you have to extract the files. After extracting, make sure you are uploading the parent theme first (example: themename-1.0.zip), then the child theme (example: themename-child.zip).</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">White Screen Of Death</h3>

<p>A &#8220;white screen of death&#8221; usually happens when your WordPress installation isn&#8217;t up to date, or when a 3rd party plugin is creating a conflict. To fix this, we would recommend you to disable all plugins and update WordPress before switching to a new theme.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">500 Internal Server Error</h3>

<p>This error&nbsp;typically happens for one of the following reasons:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Your server&#8217;s&nbsp;memory limit to PHP is too low (most common).</li>

<li>You are trying to upload the Full zip file and not just the installable theme (please refer to the guide on <a href="https://support.jedithemes.com/how-to-install-theme-on-wordpress/">how to install a theme</a>).</li>

<li>The upload limit on your server isn&#8217;t large enough and you must update your PHP.INI file to increase the upload_max_filesize value or contact your webhost to fix it.</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE</h3>

<p>This error usually means that your server&#8217;s upload limit is too small. You should contact your hosting provider to get your upload limit increased to at least 20MB. Also, make sure you are installing the correct file as mentioned in the fist part of this guide.</p>

<p>In WordPress, pages, posts, tags, categories etc all have ID&#8217;s which is how they are referenced and saved in the database. To locate the ID of any post or page, simply edit it and look at the URL, where you will see the ID in the format &#8220;post=ID&#8221;.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1372" height="540" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-post-id.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1019" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-post-id.png 1372w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-post-id-300x118.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-post-id-1024x403.png 1024w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-post-id-768x302.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1372px) 100vw, 1372px" /></figure>

<p>In the example above, the ID for this specific post would be 2738.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Locating a Term (Category) ID</h2>

<p>Locating the term ID is basically the same as locating a post ID. You need to go to the term/category edit screen and look at the URL &#8211; however, instead of <strong>post=&#8221;ID&#8221;</strong> you are looking for <strong>tag_ID=&#8221;ID&#8221;</strong>:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="405" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-taxonomy-term-category-id-1024x405.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1020" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-taxonomy-term-category-id-1024x405.png 1024w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-taxonomy-term-category-id-300x119.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-taxonomy-term-category-id-768x304.png 768w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-taxonomy-term-category-id-1536x608.png 1536w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-find-taxonomy-term-category-id.png 1804w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>In this case, the ID for the &#8220;fashion&#8221; category would be 7.</p>

<p>With our themes, showcasing your Instagram feed featuring images from your account is made easy. You can incorporate the feed into various widget areas, including the footer, sidebar, before header (at the top of the page), and other predefined locations. However, before adding it, it&#8217;s essential to connect to your Instagram account to generate an access token, enabling the widget to function properly.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Connect your Instagram account</h3>

<p>From your dashboard, click on your Theme Name and choose &#8220;<strong>Connect Instagram</strong>&#8221; for the menu. This will redirect you to a new page where you can click to connect to your Instagram account. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="2030" height="660" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-feed-widget.png" alt="" class="wp-image-989" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-feed-widget.png 2030w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-feed-widget-300x98.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-feed-widget-1024x333.png 1024w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-feed-widget-768x250.png 768w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-feed-widget-1536x499.png 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 2030px) 100vw, 2030px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Add Instagram Feed</h3>

<p>Once connected, go to Appearance &gt; Widgets &gt; Click “+” on the area where you want to show the feed and search for the <strong>Instagram Feed</strong> block. This will provide several options such as title, number of images/columns to show, gap between columns/rows etc.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="2476" height="1018" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-widget.png" alt="" class="wp-image-990" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-widget.png 2476w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-widget-300x123.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-widget-1024x421.png 1024w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-widget-768x316.png 768w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-widget-1536x632.png 1536w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/wordpress-instagram-widget-2048x842.png 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 2476px) 100vw, 2476px" /></figure>

<p>After you set the options the way you desire, you can save your changes by clicking the <strong>Update</strong> button on the upper right side. </p>

<p>Note: if the widget is still loading, give it a time and press &#8220;Update&#8221; again. Then you can visit your site to see if the Instagram feed has been added.</p>
