Creating a New Menu
- Login to your WordPress Dashboard.
- Go to Appearance > Menus.
- Select Create a new menu at the top of the page.
- Type a name for your new menu in the Menu Name box.
- Select the display location – for example, if you want to use this menu as the primary navigation, enable the checkbox next to Primary in the Menu Settings area.
- Click on the Create Menu button.
Add a Menu Item
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.
- Select a tab from the Add menu items column – you can add pages, posts, custom links or categories (if you have certain plugins, like WooCommerce, you may see more tabs there).
- Create/select the menu items you want to add and click on the Add to Menu button.
- Click Save Menu.
Note: You can drag and drop the menu items to arrange them the way you want.
Add a Submenu
- Go to your WordPress dashboard > Appearance > Menus.
- Create the menu items you want to use as subpages.
- Drag and drop the menu item slightly to the right until it sticks and “sub item” text appears next to the name.
- Click on the Save Menu button to save your changes.
