WordPress: How to Change Fonts

There are a few typography controls, so that you may select different fonts for most of the elements. To change the fonts, navigate to your WordPress dashboard and click on Appearance > Customize > Fonts & Colors.

The font options to choose from are:

  • Font Family – you can choose any Google font family; however, this only allows you to select a font family that is available in the Google Fonts list.
  • Variants – choose the font weight and style.
  • Font Size – change the font size by entering the pixel value inside the box.
  • Text Transform – transform the text to either Capitalize, Uppercase or Lowercase.
  • Line Height – this will reduce or increase the gap between the lines. You can type the numeric pixel value in the box as per your requirement.
  • Letter Spacing – increases or decreases the space between characters in a text.

Note: Even though you may individually setup different elements, please make sure to use two or three font families max in order to keep your website loading fast.
