<p>On Blogger, categories are called labels. Whenever you create a post, in the right side of the post editor you have the option of adding labels to that post. That in turn will create a label page that be used later to <a href="https://support.jedithemes.com/setting-up-blogger-menu/">link to your navigation menu</a>.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Adding Labels to a Blogger Post</h3>

<p>Step 1. To add your labels, click on the post you want to edit and type the labels in the <strong>Labels</strong> field which is located on the right side of your post editor. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="877" height="328" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/adding-labels-to-blogger-post.png" alt="" class="wp-image-393" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/adding-labels-to-blogger-post.png 877w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/adding-labels-to-blogger-post-300x112.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/adding-labels-to-blogger-post-768x287.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 877px) 100vw, 877px" /></figure>

<p>Keep the label short and pick the one that best describes your content. We would also recommend you to use lowercase letters and avoid weird symbols as it will generate a link that should be kept as simple as possible. If you want to use multiple labels, make sure that you separate them by commas:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="844" height="331" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-multiple-post-labels.png" alt="" class="wp-image-394" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-multiple-post-labels.png 844w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-multiple-post-labels-300x118.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-multiple-post-labels-768x301.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 844px) 100vw, 844px" /></figure>

<p>Step 2. To apply the labels, click on the <strong>Update</strong> or <strong>Publish</strong> (if your post is new) button on the top right side.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="845" height="331" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-update-post-labels.png" alt="" class="wp-image-395" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-update-post-labels.png 845w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-update-post-labels-300x118.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-update-post-labels-768x301.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 845px) 100vw, 845px" /></figure>

<p>Note: For large blogs with lots of content, you can edit multiple posts from the same category without having to open each one of them. Just select the posts you want to add label to and click on the tag icon:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1047" height="483" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-posts-labels.png" alt="" class="wp-image-396" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-posts-labels.png 1047w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-posts-labels-300x138.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-posts-labels-1024x472.png 1024w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-posts-labels-768x354.png 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1047px) 100vw, 1047px" /></figure>

<p>On the box that opens, fill in the label(s) using the “Add a label” field (or select them from the list of available labels), then click “Apply”.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1025" height="512" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/add-new-label-blogger-posts.png" alt="" class="wp-image-397" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/add-new-label-blogger-posts.png 1025w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/add-new-label-blogger-posts-300x150.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/add-new-label-blogger-posts-768x384.png 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1025px) 100vw, 1025px" /></figure>

<p>Important: When adding a specific label, make sure that your selected post doesn&#8217;t already have it as this action will remove the existent label.</p>

<p>The author profile is a small bio box where you can display a short introduction about you or your blog in the footer of your post. To show the author profile, we need to make sure that we have certain settings enabled:</p>

<p>Step 1. From your <a rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow" href="https://blogger.com" target="_blank">Blogger dashboard</a>, go to <strong>Layout</strong> &gt; click <strong>Edit</strong> on the &#8220;Blog Posts&#8221; gadget.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="835" height="239" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-blog-posts-configure.png" alt="blogger blog posts" class="wp-image-347" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-blog-posts-configure.png 835w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-blog-posts-configure-300x86.png 300w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-blog-posts-configure-768x220.png 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 835px) 100vw, 835px" /></figure>

<p>Step 2. Once the pop-up window opens, scroll down and see if the <strong>Show author</strong> option is checked. If it is not, simply click on the small box on the right.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="442" height="272" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/show-author-profile-in-blogger-post.gif" alt="show author in blogger post" class="wp-image-614"/></figure>

<p>Step 3. Click the &#8220;SAVE&#8221; text at the end of this window to apply the changes.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The Author Bio Box Still Doesn’t Show</h3>

<p>If the author profile still doesn&#8217;t appear after enabling the option above, then you will need to check some other Blogger settings to see if your profile doesn&#8217;t lack certain information as we will need that for our bio box.</p>

<p>Step 1. From the Blogger menu, click <strong>Settings</strong> and scroll down to the end of the page &gt; click <strong>User Profile</strong> under the &#8220;General&#8221; section.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="736" height="153" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-settings-user-profile.png" alt="" class="wp-image-362" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-settings-user-profile.png 736w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-settings-user-profile-300x62.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /></figure>

<p>Step 2. On the next page, you need to have the &#8220;Share my profile&#8221; option selected (if it is not, simply click the small box on the right).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="452" height="198" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/share-blogger-profile-setting.png" alt="" class="wp-image-363" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/share-blogger-profile-setting.png 452w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/share-blogger-profile-setting-300x131.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 452px) 100vw, 452px" /></figure>

<p>Step 3. You will also need to have an image uploaded for your bio box &gt; click on the <strong>Browse&#8230;</strong> button under the &#8220;Profile Photo&#8221; section:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="539" height="210" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/upload-blogger-profile-photo.png" alt="" class="wp-image-364" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/upload-blogger-profile-photo.png 539w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/upload-blogger-profile-photo-300x117.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 539px) 100vw, 539px" /></figure>

<p>Step 4. Next, scroll down to the &#8220;Additional Information&#8221; section and use the &#8220;Introduction&#8221; box to write something about the author, or the blog. This text will appear in the author bio box along with the Profile Photo.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="507" height="281" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-author-bio-box.png" alt="" class="wp-image-365" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-author-bio-box.png 507w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/blogger-author-bio-box-300x166.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 507px) 100vw, 507px" /></figure>

<p>Step 5. Finally, apply the settings by clicking the &#8220;Save Profile&#8221; button at the end of the page.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="508" height="227" src="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/save-blogger-profile-page.png" alt="" class="wp-image-366" srcset="https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/save-blogger-profile-page.png 508w, https://support.jedithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/save-blogger-profile-page-300x134.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 508px) 100vw, 508px" /></figure>

<p>Now, visit one of your blog articles to see if the Author profile or bio box appears in the footer of your post.</p>
